Course Description （1）Course Abstract This course consists of two parts: international trade and international finance.Part I:International Trade. In this part, we will investigate why nations trade, what they trade, and who gains from trade. We will then analyze the motives for countries or organizations to restrict or regulate international trade and study the effects of such policies on economic welfare. Part II: international finance. In this part, we will cover the following topics: national income accounting and balance of payments,foreign exchange market; exchange rates and inflation; several theories about the determination of the exchange rate and international macroeconomics policy. Among the overall lecture we will relate the theory with Chinese’s economy background. （2
