English to Chinese translation of A Little Princess belongs to translation of children’s literature, but because of diversity between English and Chinese, it is difficult for translators to correctly translate. Moreover, the author Frances Hodgson Burnett adopts many metaphors to make this work more outstanding. Meanwhile, it also increases the difficulty of translation. In the paper, the author analyzes from metaphor translation in A Little Princess, studies definition and classification of metaphor in the perspective of interesting topic and vivid characters in children’s literature, so as to research how to translate metaphor be more easily understood and conform to the topic. Key words: Children’s literature; A Little Princess; metaphor; translation 摘 要 《小公主》是一部被世界公认的儿童文学经典童话，它英汉翻译属于儿童文学作品翻译，但由于英汉两种语言文字之间存在的差异，在翻译过程中很难做到字词句上的完全对等。而在这部作品中，作者弗朗西丝·霍奇森·伯内特大量使用的隐喻手法更是让这童话锦上添花，同时也大大增加了翻译难度。本文作者主要从《小公主》中的隐喻翻译入手，学习英语中的隐喻定义与分类，进而研究在英汉互译过程中，从儿童文学角度的趣味性和生动性出发，将英语隐喻翻译得更加简单易懂，符合作品主题。 关键词：儿童文学；小公主；隐喻；翻译 Content TOC \o 1-3 \h \z \u Abstract i 摘 要 ii Introduction 1 1.
