Methods 100 elderly patients with pneumonia treated from November 2015 to March 2017 in this hospital were random selected. The subjects were divided into two groups according to the registration number， with 50 cases in each group. The study group took the combined therapy of Latamoxef and Lianbizhi injection； the control group just took Latamoxef injection. The clinical effect for two groups was compared. Results The disappearance time of cough， digestive tract abnormalities， fever and moist rale for study group were （2.4±0.8）d， （3.2±1.2）d， （1.5±0.5）d， （4.7±1.5）d， lower than those of the control group of （4.1±1.3）d， （4.9±1.6）d， （2.8±0.9）d， （5.6±1.8）d， （P0.05）. After treatment， the levels of white blood cells and body temperature in the study group were lower than those in the control group， the level of arterial oxygen pressure was higher than that of the control group， and the difference was statistically significant （P0.05）. Conclusion For elderly patients with pneumonia， the combined therapy of Latamoxef and Lianbizhi injection can effectively improve the clinical symptoms， promote the patient’s recovery and enhance their life quality. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application. [Key words] Curative effect analysis； Lianbizhi
