The data- gathering design and realization based on UTOPIA Abstract:This paper analyses ells and puts forward the ways of abstra tion of IP data pa ket based on UTOPIA. Realizing pa ket seg mentation and reassembly of ATM layer with FPGA an raise the onversion speed greatly. After analyzing the CPCS - PDU, users an adopt software to pi k up IP data pa ket. The text finally provides virtual results based on UTOPIA. The length of ATM ells is fixed at 53B, and it is divided into ell header and payload. The on tent of ell header has some differen e between UNI and NNI. There are three important on epts in ATM network: Transmission hannel, VP and VC. The ells of different users are onveyed by different VP or VC, whi h are distin guished by VPI and VCI respe tively. The full name of UTOPIA is the Universal Test and Operations Physi al Interfa e for ATM, andwith this standard interfa e, users an pi k up ells from the network , namely to obtain ells from the physi al layers, and to obtain the information of the data after ATM layer. 1 UTOPIA Interface UTOPIA is a digital interfa e between PHY and ATM in ATM proto ol onsulting models, whi h defines the in terfa e spe ifi ation in the data ommuni ation between PHY and ATM layers. The interfa e is divided into master and slave parts: the master interfa e being integrated into the ATM layer and the slave interfa e into the PHY layer.
