苏教版三年级上册数学知识点 Unit 1: Multiplying Two or Three Digit Numbers by a One Digit Number 1. To mentally multiply tens or hundreds, use the blocking method. Block off the last digit of the multiplicand and add it to the end of the product. Block off as many digits as needed and add them to the end of the product. 2. To multiply using the traditional method, multiply the ones digit of the multiplier by each digit of the multiplicand, starting from the ones digit and moving left. If the product of a digit is greater than or equal to 10, carry the tens digit to the next multiplication. Add all the partial products to get the final answer. 3. To find how many times one number is a multiple of another, use division. 4. To find how many times a number is a multiple of another, use multiplication. 5. Any number multiplied by 1 is equal to itself. Any number multiplied by 0 is equal to 0. Emphasize that dividing by 0 is undefined and cannot be done. 6. The product may not always have a digit in the middle, even if the multiplier does. 7. The product will have at least as many digits at the end as there are digits at the end of the multiplier. There will be at least that many zeros at the end of the product. 8. When multiplying a two or three digit number by a one digit number, the product may have two or three digits. When multiplying a three digit number by a one digit number, the product may have three or four digits. It can have at most one more digit than the number being multiplied. 9. Going back and forth over a distance is equivalent to traveling that distance twice. Use real-life examples to reinforce this concept, using the names of students to make it more engaging. 10. Folding paper or a rope in half doubles the number of segments. 11. The product of two numbers is not always greater than the sum of the two numbers. Use the example 1x3=3, 1+3=4 to illustrate this. 12. Use examples involving students and the school, considering whether they are on the same or opposite s
