Warming-up Greeting and checking homework. Play a balloon game to review target language. 2. Presentation Show a picture of balloons flying away and ask students “What’s happening?”. Introduce and practice the target language through various pictures, questions and activities. 3. Practice Guided Practice: teacher reads the dialogue, students imitate and practice in pairs. Independent Practice: students work in pairs to practice and present their conversation. 4. Production Students write a short paragraph to describe a picture using present progressives as much as possible, after which the teacher will correct them. 5. Evaluation Teacher evaluates students’ speaking skills based on the accuracy of their use of present progressives in their conversations.
