A study conducted by the University of California confirms this, showing a correlation between cell phone usage and decreased academic performance. Therefore, classroom environments should promote focus and concentration, which are compromised by the presence of cell phones. 2. Cheating: Another concern regarding cell phone usage in classrooms is the increased opportunity for cheating. Students can easily search for answers, send messages to their peers, or even capture pictures of test materials. This not only undermines the integrity of the examination process but also fails to assess the true knowledge and understanding of students. Thus, banning cell phones can help maintain fairness and ensure that students are genuinely assessed on their abilities. 3. Socialization: Cell phones can hinder effective learning by promoting socialization among students during class time. Instead of focusing on the lesson, students are inclined to engage in chats, share memes, or participate in group calls.
