高中英语阅读理解技巧点拨根据上下文推断语篇中的隐 含意义——文章寓意题
《普通高中英语课程标准（2017年版2020年修订）》中对高中英语学业 质量水平进行了质量描述。其中，学业质量水平三的质量描述包括学生应“能阐 释和评价语篇所反映的情感、态度和价值观”。语篇所反映的情感、态度和价值 观亦即语篇所要传达的深层寓意。推断文章的寓意是高考英语阅读理解的考查技 能之一。本期我们结合高考真题，就如何解答文章寓意题进行相关技巧的点拨。 常用的解题技巧有：
.定位主旨句，根据文章主旨进行推断。文章的深层寓意与文章的主旨密不可分，有 时候，文章所要传达的深层寓意在题目中的表达是文章主旨句的改写，更多时候我们 需要结合文章内容，对主旨句进行提炼和总结，才能归纳出文章的寓意。
.故事类的记叙文，需结合主人公的性格特点、故事梗概及故事结尾的意义升华等信 息总结其深层寓意。
例1 : （ 2020年新高考英语全国I卷B篇，保留原题号，下同）
Jennifer Mauer has needed more willpower than the typical college student to pursue her goal of earning a nursing degree. That willpower bore fruit when Jennifer graduated from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and became the first in her large family to earn a bachelors degree.
Mauer, of Edgar, Wisconsin, grew up on a farm in a family of 10 children. Her dad worked at a job away from the farm, and her mother ran the farm with the kids. After high school, Jennifer attended a local technical college, working to pay her tuition （学费），because there was no extra money set aside for a college education.
After graduation, she worked to help her sisters and brothers pay for their schooling.
Jennifer now is married and has three children of her own. She decided to go back to college to advance her career and to be able to better support her family while doing something she loves: nursing. She chose the UW-Eau Claire program at Ministry Saint Josephs Hospital in Marshfield because she was able to pursue her four-year degree close to home. She could drive to class and be home in the evening to help with her kids. Jennifer received great support from her family as she worked to earn her degree: Her husband worked two jobs to cover the bills, and her 68-year-old mother helped take care of the children at times.
