VirtualBoxisusedasourvirtualmachine,whichcanbedownloadedat:

Remendtochoosetheversionof4.3.12fortherightplatform.

2.2.VirtualComputer

2.2.1.Image

Openvirtualformat(*.ova)isusedforvirtualputerimageandthefileisESP8266_lubuntu.ovawhichcanbeimportedintoothervirtualmachinesoftware.

Note:usernameis“ESP8266”,passwordis“espressif”.

Indefaultcondition,VirtualBoxwillimportvirtualputerintosystemdiskandthisimportwilltakeupalotofsystemspaceasusersusethevirtualputer.Hence,itisremendedtoinstallvirtualputeronnon-systemdisk.

Step1:SelectPreferencesinthemanagementmenu
