2.Introducetheprojecttask:designingazoo.

3.Explaintherequirementsandgoalsoftheproject,suchaschoosingappropriateanimals,designingthelayoutofthezoo,andpresentingittotheclass.

Step2Workon3a-3b

1.Dividethestudentsintogroupsof4-6.Eachgrouptakesturnstothinkofananimalanddescribeittotheothergroupmemberswithoutnamingit.Theothermembersguesstheanimalandwriteitdowninthetableundertheappropriatecategory.

2.Afterallthegroupshavecompletedthistask,eachgroupselectssomeanimalsfromthetabletocompletetheirzoodesign.Theyneedtoconsiderthelivinghabitsandneedsoftheanimalswhenchoosing.

Step3Workon3c

1.Eachgroupdrawsamapoftheirdesignedzooonalargepieceofpaper.Theyshouldlabelthedifferentareasofthezooandmarkthepositionsoftheanimals.

2.Whilethestudentsaredrawing,theteacherwalksaroundtheclassroomtoprovidehelpandsuggestions.

3.Eachgrouppresentstheirdesignedzoototheclass.Theyshouldusetheexpressionsintheboxtointroducetheirzoo.

4.Aftereachpresentation,theotherstudentscanaskquestionsorgivecommentsandsuggestions.Thentheclassvotesforthezootheylikethemostbasedonthecreativity,feasibility,andEnglishlanguageusageofthedesigns.

Step4WorkonReflecting

1.Letthestudentstakeashorttestandfillinthechart.

2.Forthedifficultknowledgepoints,theteachershouldexplainthempatientlyandclearly.
