I.TeachingObjectives

1.LanguageSkills

(1)Studentswillbeabletorecognizeandspellcommonanimalnames(e.g.,lion,penguin,tiger)andadjectivesdescribinganimalcharacteristics(e.g.,cute,clumsy,wild).

(2)Studentswillbeproficientinusingspecialinterrogativesentencestoinquireaboutanimal-relatedinformation,suchasWhatsyourfavouriteanimal?,Whatdoesitlooklike?,Whereisitfrom?,andWhatcanitdo?,andprovideaccurateanswers.

(3)Studentswillunderstandandcorrectlyusekeygrammaticalstructuresandvocabulary,includingtoo(indicatingalsoanditsposition),can(indicatingability,requestingpermission,andpossibility),andotheranditsrelatedwords(e.g.,others,theother).

2.LearningAbilities

(1)Throughtheextractionandorganizationofanimalinformation,studentswilldevelopinformationcollectionandanalysisskills.

(2)Role-playingandgroupactivitieswillenhancestudentslogicalthinkingandlanguageorganizationabilities,enablingthemtoexpresstheiropinionsandideascoherently.

(3)Bycomparingandanalyzingeasilyconfusedvocabularyandgrammaticalstructures,studentswillcultivatecriticalthinkinganddiscriminationabilities.

3.CulturalAwareness

(1)Studentswillbroadentheirculturalhorizonsbyunderstandingthesymbolicmeaningsandstatusesofanimalsindifferentcultures.

(2)Groupactivitiesandrole-playingwillfosterstudentsteamworkspiritandcommunicationabilities,enhancingtheircross-culturalcommunicationliteracy.

(3)Studentswilldevelopasenseofrespectandprotectionforanimals,enhancingtheirculturalresponsibility.
