Abstract

Innovation-drivendevelopmenthasbecomeamajorconcerninChinaatpresent,

anditisanimportantdecisiontocopewithchangesintheexternalenvironmentand

achievehigh-qualitydevelopment.Inrecentyears,ChinasRDinvestmentandpatent

authorizationdatahavebeenintheforefrontoftheworld,andcitiesaroundtheworld

havegenerallyimplementedpoliciesandmeasurestodrivethedevelopmentofkey

industriesthroughinnovationandbuiltalargenumberofurbaninnovationspaces.The

researchshowsthattherearestillsomeproblemsinChina,suchasthedisconnection

betweeninnovationactivities,urbanindustrialdevelopment,andtheslowdevelopment

ofindustrialparks.Patentshavetheadvantagesofobjectivity,completeinformation

andavailability,whichisagoodindicatorofinnovationoutput.Exploringthe

interactiverelationshipbetweenpatentsandindustrialdevelopmentisofgreat

significancetorealizeinnovation-drivenindustrialdevelopment.Therefore,thispaper

choosesHangzhouasanempiricalobject.Firstly,basedonthepatentapplicationdata

from2004to2017andtheoutputvaluedataofcorrespondingindustries,theVAR

modelisusedtotestandidentifytheinteractiverelationshipbetweenurbanpatentsand

thedevelopmentofcorrespondingindustries,andtoscreenoutthetypesofindustries

whosepatentsdrivethedevelopmentofindustries.Secondly,thespatialdistribution

characteristicsanddevelopmenttrendofrelatedpatentdataarestudiedbyusing

standarddeviationellipsemethod,kerneldensityanalysismethodandspatial
