Abstract:Duringaircraftgroundsteering,thenoselandinggear(NLG)tiresoflargetransportaircraftoften

experienceexcessivelateralloads,leadingtosideslip.Thiscompromisessteeringsafetyandacceleratestirewear.To

addressthisissue,therearlandinggearistypicallydesignedtosteerincoordinationwiththenosewheels,reducing

sideslipandimprovingmaneuverability.Thisstudyexamineshowstructuralparametersandweightdistributionaffect

theperformanceofcoordinatedsteeringinlandinggeardesignforlargetransportaircraft.UsingtheC-5transport

aircraftasacasestudy,wedevelopamulti-wheelgroundsteeringdynamicsmodel,incorporatingthemainlanding

gear(MLG)deflection.Agroundhandlingdynamicsmodelis
