ThisstandardisissuedunderthefixeddesignationF2226;thenumberimmediatelyfollowingthedesignationindicatestheyearoforiginaladoptionor,inthecaseofrevision,theyearoflastrevision.Anumberinparenthesesindicatestheyearoflastreapproval.Asuperscriptepsilon(e)indicatesaneditorialchangesincethelastrevisionorreapproval.

Scope

Thispracticecoversproceduresforprintingadocument,applyingalaminatingfilmandsubsequentlydelaminating.Thelaminatefilmisusedforencapsulatingandmountingprintstopreservetheminofficeandoutdoorenvironments.

Thispracticedescribesproceduresfordeterminingtheadhesionstrengthoflaminationfilmwhenitisappliedtoblackandwhiteandcolorprintsproducedbyprinters,copiersandotherreprographicdevices.

Thispracticecanbeusedtotestdifferentlaminateswithagivensetofinksandmediaoritcanbeusedtoevaluateinksandmediawithagivenlaminate.

Thispracticespecifiessizeofspecimensanddefinesconditionsformeasurementofpeeladhesionata180°angleanddelaminationspeed.

Thispracticeisapplicabletoconstructionswherethesubstratesurfaceissubjecttofailureunderpeelconditions.
