VMFPowersportMFbatteriesaredelivereddry-chargedwiththeirownindividual

specialacidcellularpack,theacidbeingofahigherconcentrationanddensitythan

standardbatteryacid.Theelectrolytereceptaclecontainstheexactquantityofacid

requiredforthisparticularbattery.Youmustthereforeonlyusetheacidthatcomes

withthebattery.

1.cethebatteryonafirm,leversurface.

2.Removeelectrolytecontainerfromvinylbag.Removethestripsofthecaps.Put

thestripaside–you’llusethislaterasthebatterysealingplug.Donotpierceor

otherwiseopenthesealedcellsoftheelectrolytecontainer.Donotseparate

individualcells.

3.ceelectrolytecontainer,sealedtopofthecellsdown,intothefillerportsof

thebattery.Holdthecontainerlevelandpushfirmlydowntobreaktheseals.

4.You’llseeairbubbasthebatteryfills.Ifnobubbappear,gentlytapthe

containertostartthefilling.

5.Checktheelectrolyteflow.Ifnecessarygentlytaptheelectrolytecontainer.

Allowtheacidtotrickleslowlyintothecontainertoavoidtrappingbubb.This

processwilltakeabout20minutesorlongertocomplete.Donottiltthe

containerduringthisprocessanddonotremoveituntilitcompletelyempty.

6.Removethecontainer.Forbatteriesof3-12Ahletstandforatleast30minutes.

Forlargecapacitiesletstandforatleast1hour.Thisallowstheelectrolyte

permeateinthetesforoptimumuse.

7.cecapstripslooselyoverfillerports.

8.Thebatteryhasnowonly80%ofitsratedcapacityavailable.Itshouldbefully

chargedbeforecommissioning.Chargewithapprox10%ofitsratedcapacityat

14.4-14.7volt.
