As English has been widely accepted by the world, it is getting more and more important for us to have a good command of foreign language as a tool of communicating. And the globalization of English requires the Chinese students including those living in the countryside in west China to speak fluently in all modes of communication.At present, English is the foreign language in China and tends to become the second language. The possibility of which lies in that the globalization of English has been promoting China’s English education, and English education is drawing more and more attention across the nation. In this aspect, English plays an active role in making English as the second language in China or this direction in the future.?Although English teaching is so important in China now, however, its teaching and learning is poor in the countryside especially in west China. And we can know about it from the investigation of educational situations.?B. Current Situation in Countryside Education in west China?The rural education plays an important role on the education reforms and the development of west China, but the current situation is bad. The fundamental gap between rich and poor is just the same as urban and rural. China’s cities, even in the poorest provinces, are far better off than the rural areas. We should strengthen the rural education, and then let the heavy population burden become the advantage of human resource.
