Introduction?In the 21st Century, as the multiple politics and economical globalization get more and more clear, many countries have already put education reform into their countries’ development strategies. America has made standards for foreign language learning in the 21st century. Australia has issued National Policy on Language and The National Asian Languages and the Studies in Australian Schools Strategies.??At present, in our country the new curriculum reform is an important topic of the school education. The new English curriculum standard was issued by Ministry of Education in 2002. 1? It shows us a brand new theory on education, and some challenges. From its edition, it is more reasonable, more interesting and the most important one is that it keeps the pace with modern changeable society. It emphasizes that foreign language learning is not only action of practice, but also the process of improving students’ humanities. So for teaching, teachers should think of from both micro and macro aspects. The new English course gives us six basic principles: Face to all students, paying more attention on character education. Designing from whole and flexibility to assault students’ individual, meanwhile, respecting their differences, choosing the access to activity and praise to join in, paying more attention on the evaluation of process, exploring the resource of textbook. The six basic principles change teacher- centered theory in traditional teaching and build up a learner- centered theory. It emphasizes that English lesson should be on an open-minded system which makes it close to fact, to life and to times. It uses multi-evaluation system to replace the single way evaluation in traditional education and combines the forming evaluation and terminates evaluation together. All of these make evaluation more reasonable, it is good for students’ physical and psychotic development.?Since the new cur
