It is su sceptible to heary rainfall cau sing sediment related disaster s. H siukulu an and Shou feng water sheds were selected as two research spot s for the potential risk analy sis of sediment disaster. Mechanism, behavior and scale 131 of sediment disasters were analyzed to determine the factors contributed to these disasters. Global positioning systems (GPS) was used to collect all GIS fundamental informations including site positioning, Pearson X2 disaster scale investigation, and other disaster related factor s. Geographic in formation sy stem s (GI S) was also utilized to establish the database systems of sediment related disaster. GPS/ GIS integrated with multivariable regression analysis method were applied on analyzling ﬁeld data collected from 13 1 sediment disaster areas.
