论文摘要 在语言学习中，词汇一直起着非常重要的作用，词汇量的大小直接影响听、 说、读、写的技能，所以，词汇教学在高中英语教学中备受关注。但是，在进行 了问卷调查和课堂观察之后，笔者发现高中英语教师结合语境进行英语词汇教学 的意识不强，学生脱离语境，按照词汇表机械背诵单词的现象仍十分突出，教师 和学生都在词汇上耗费了大量的时间和精力，但效果却不尽人意。因此，研究语 境教学在高中英语词汇教学中的作用具有现实意义。 本研究结合了文献法、问卷调查法和实验法，探索语境教学在高中英语词汇 教学中的作用，努力摸索出适合本校高中生的英语词汇教学模式。通过问卷，了 解和分析了当前高一学生词汇学习的现状和词汇教学中存在的问题。基于现状， 结合国内外学者对于语境的研究、分类，以及语境在英语词汇教学中的作用，进 行了实验研究，经过两次测试的对比，运用统计软件 （SPSS ）对数据进行分析， 得出结论：语境教学对高中英语词汇教学有积极作用，应予重视和推广。 关键词：语境，高中英语，英语词汇教学，教学模式 i ABSTRACT Vocabulary plays an important part in language teaching and learning. It exercises impacts on the learners ’ language competence, including listening, speaking, reading and writing. Vocabulary teaching, therefore, has been given increasing attention in senior high schools. However, on the basis of the questionnaires and class observations conducted particularly for this study, the author discovered that teachers put little emphasis on the role of context in English vocabulary teaching and that most students still memorize words out of context. Though the teachers and students have put large amounts of time and energy in teaching and learning vocabulary, the result is far from satisfactory. This justifies the research on the role of context in English vocabulary teaching in senior high schools. This study focuses on exploring the role of context in the English vocabulary teaching, with an intention to develop a teaching model which suits the students and improves their vocabulary learning in the author ’s school.
