摘要 随着21世纪经济和社会生活的迅速发展，英语作为世界上使用最广泛的语 言，其重要性不言而喻。高职教育担负着培养“应用型人才”的重任。英语作为 一项重要的语言技能日益受到师生的广泛关注。 英语阅读是学习者获取英语语言知识，了解外部信息，提高英语语言实践能 力的重要手段。英语阅读教学作为听、说、读、写、译五个环节中的一环，在英 语教学中占有非常重要的地位。 本研究根据无锡高等师范学院高职生英语阅读课堂教学的实践，从学生和教 师两个层面对高职英语阅读教学的总体状况展开了调查。调查显示：学生缺乏对 阅读目的的正确认识，同时存在着“词汇量不足、背景知识匮乏、缺乏阅读技巧” 等问题；教师在阅读授课时教学模式单一，缺乏阅读教学的策略性。 针对这些具体的问题，教师应更新阅读教学的观念，优化教学模式，进行有 策略的阅读教学，培养“流畅的阅读者”。通过引导学生明确阅读目的、培养合 理的阅读动机，鼓励学生积极参与阅读活动、增加阅读经历，使学生在英语阅读 中获取信息、获得快乐，形成英语学习的强大动力。 关键词：高职英语 阅读教学 策略 II Abstract With the rapid development of economic and social life in the twenty-first century, English, the most widely used language in the world, is of great significance. As an important language for worldwide communication, English has become one of great concerns of teachers and students. Though listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation make up the five basic language skills, for Chinese learners, reading is the important means of acquiring the knowledge of the English language, understanding the external information and improving the practical ability of the English language. That’s why reading, as one of the five language skills, plays a very important role in the English teaching and learning. As higher vocational education takes the responsibility of the cultivation of “Application-type talents”, English teaching has gained more attention. Based on the practice in the English reading instruction in Wuxi Teachers’ College, this study carries out the investigation of the overall situation of English reading teaching in higher vocational education from the two aspects of teachers and students.
