There is a lack ofa technologywith a sufficient sensitivity to detect trace DNA adducts related to low environmental exposure levels. e attempt to develop ahighly sensitiveassay for thedetection ofDNA adducts by com- bining capillary electrophoresis-laser induced fluorescence (CE-LIF) with mi munochemical recognition, or CE-LIF mi munoassay. This review describes the recent research progress on CE-LIF instrument construction and themethodology ofCE-LIF immunoassay for the detection ofDNA adducts. Themethodology studymainly involves the synthesis and characterization of the adductcontainingDNA fluorescent probes, the interaction ofDNA adducts and antibody, stabilization of traceDNA adducts-antibody complexes, and DNA-driven focusing.
