2004 1 2004, 1 178 Foreign Languages and Their Teaching Seria 178 交际课堂中的形式教学 国外近期研究综述 1 2 何莲珍 王 敏 ( 1浙江大学外国语学院, 浙江杭州 310027; 2西安交通大学外语部, 陕西西安 710049) : 近年来, 一些理论和实践研究表明, 在交际课堂中融入形式教学 够有效促进学习者中介语系统的发展, 确保 习得的效果以此为理念的新教学模式focu s on form 已成为目前形式教学研究的主流本文以近期国外的理论和研究成 果为基础, 介绍了focus on form 产生的背景和定义, 分析了它与传统形式教学的区别及存在的理据, 着重归纳了现有的focus on form 的具体教学方法并讨论了不同方法的优势和缺陷; 同时还提出了focus on form 研究中亟待解决的一些问题, 指出了 未来研究的方向 : 形式教学; focus on form; 交际教学; 二语习得; 中介语 Abstract: In recent years, theoretica and empirica research has suggested that incorporation of formfocused instruction into commu nicative anguage teaching can acce erate the deve opment of inter anguage system and thereby faci itate anguage acquisition. And the find ings of the research have given rise to a new teaching optionfocus on form . This paper out ines the background and definition of focus on form, addressing the rationa e for the approach and its distinctions from the more traditiona focusonforms . It a so summarizes some of the main methodo ogica options for focus on form and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the various options. Fina y, some prob ems to be so ved in the research of focus on form are mentioned as a basis for further research .
