ABSTRACT Wit the development of mobile communication technology, especially the wirelesscommunicationtechnology,avarietyofterminaldevicesappearintheworld. Currently, the satellite navigation continues to expand in civilian areas, especiallywit rapid development ofthe mobile Internet andthe particularity ofthe smartphones, whic has laid a solidfoundation forthe satellitepositioning services. Because circularly polarized antenna has the advantages of hig reception, strong anti-jamming performance and anti-multipat reflections, so recent researc on satellitenavigation terminal antennas have mainly focused on terminal antennawit multi-band, circular polarization and wide frequency band. Fractal antenna is produced by iteration, it is easier to realize the antenna’s operation in a multi-band due to its self-similarity. And it’s possible to reduce the antenna size due to its space-filling.Applying the fractal antenna characteristics to the design ofmicrostrip antennawill greatlyimprovetheperformance ofthe antenna.Therefore,theresearc andapplicationoffractalantennashasaverypromisingprospectinevitably. Herearethemainideasofthepaper: Firstly, the basic theory and analysismethods ofthe microstrip antennawill be listed, and then the circularly polarized implementation and feeding methods of the microstrip antenna will be discussed.
