Reading: Turandot in Beijing
Teaching aims:
(1) Students are expected to gain some knowledge about the opera Turandot and the performance of the opera to reinforce their reading comprehension.
(2) Get students to master the reading strategy of how to read a review of an opera and to apply it to their future study.
(3) Stimulate students’ interest in Western operas as well as Chinese operas.
