T e gene structure, including ten extrons of insect AC E gene ( ace) , was discussed. All t e ace genes reported from insects were summed up, and t e p ylogenetic tree was constructed based on t e reported complete sequences of ace genes from insects. T e ace structure c aracteristics, t e functional sites of ace genes, t e effect of ace mutation ( s) on insecticide resistance and t eir relations ips were also discussed. Finally, t e problems and prospects in t e studies of insect ace were analyzed.
