Abstract: T he phase change material ( PCM) microcapsules w ith polysulfone shell and nhexadecane core
w ere prepared in this w orkIn order to control the properties of PCM microcapsules, such as the size and
size distribution, the preparation process was decoupled into tw o separate stages: firstly, the
monodispersed O/ W droplets w ere generated by a microreactor; secondly, the droplets w ere solidified in a
bath by solvent evaporation approachT he effects of continuous phase flow rate, disperse phase flow rate,
and the microchannel size on the droplet formation process in the microreactor w ere studied
comprehensivelyT he PCM microcapsules w ere characterized by SEM and DSCThe results show ed that

the size of microcapsules w as uniform, and the latent heat w as greater than 5 J g .
