2011 Academic and Teaching Seminar on Electronic Information Sciences of Higher Vocational Education (2011SEHVE) Some Ideas about the Course Construction of Corporate Governance in our University Yueyun JIANG School of Economic, Shandong Jiaotong University, Jinan, China Abstract: With the development of practice and the deepening of theory on corporate governance, universi- ties at home and aboard have gradually introduced Corporate Governance in the business education. Corpo- rate governance is the core determinants for companys competitiveness, and is the key points for the com- pany’s sustainable development. Thus, companies in this period need a group of talent who can combine cor- porate governance’s theory and its practice. In this context, in order to meet the needs of corporate govern- ance talents, our university offers the course called Corporate Governance for the undergraduate student ma- jored in Financial Management. After nearly three years’ practices, we have made some valuable experiences about course constructions by teaching. In this paper, I will summarize and analyze main practices, achieve- ments, problems and shortcomings about Corporate Governance course in our university, which are expected to provide some help for other universities’ course construction.
