1. Preview the new phrases and useful sentences of this period

1.Teacher asks some questions about Simon’s and Millie’s problems to review what the students learned in the last leson.
(1)What problem does Millie have? (She has a lot of homework every day and often stays up late to complete it)
(2)Why does she accept to do so much work although she doesn’t want to? (Because she understands that it is important to do her homework and hand it in on time.)
(3)What do you think of her problem? Can you give her some advice?
(4)What’s Simon’s hobby? (Playing football is his hobby.)
(5)How do his parents think about it? (They don’t like it and ask him to come home before 6 p.m.)
2. Tell students that in Part C, they must play the role of Sigmund Friend, and must “diagnose” what is wrong with Millie and Simon.
3. Remind students that they can find all the answers in the reading. They should complete the exercise by putting a cross or a tick in the blanks. For more able students, ask them to complete the exercise without referring the back to the reading passage.
