Its basic framework consists of sluices op- eration model based A and numerical simulation model of unsteady flow in river networks. The sluices operation model is used to output operation plan and the mathematical model is used to provide operation cases and to check operation plan. T his intelligent operation aided decision-making model of sluices in river networks was applied successfully to Pudong ew Area. s river networks in Shanghai City. Investigation results indicated that the model can satisfy well the requirement of sluices. intelligent operation, provides a new idea for intelligent control and decision-making support of sluices in continental river networks.
