Abstract:With the rapid de elopment of economy and society, the man-land relationship in the
coastal region is becoming more serious.M any problem s relating to population, resources and en-
ironment are serious, too.The regional sustainable de elopment has become the only choice for
the certain area.To some degree, the land comprehensi e carry ing capacity just becomes the key
to the sustainable de elopment.This paper, on the base of the rethinking land carrying capacity,
reconstructs the theory formation in new eyes, thereby w e ha e designed the index system to al-
ue the land comprehensi e carrying capacity.
