In luences o the elastic modulus and thickness o plastic layers and t he inner diameter o the astener on the str ess state and capacity o circular glass-panel models w ith single metal astener hav e been investigat- ed. Results show that: adopting layers w ith lar ge elastic modulus is help ul to enhance the loading capacity o glass boar ds; the thickness o layers has little e ect on the loading capacity o glass boards, minimum thickness o lay ers can be 1mm; adopting metal asteners w ith small inter nal diam eter s is not help ul to enhance the loading capacit y o glass boar ds. But thin layers w ith lar ge modulus can be used when sm al-l diameter astener s are adopted.
