During the past ten years, there has been in tense con temporary in terest in the de e-l opm en t of new clinical procedures, therapeuticm olecules, and prototypes based on translational m ed icine concept. In this article, w e re iew ed recen t ad ances and current status of trans lationalm ed icine in scientific commun ity acrossm ultiple b iom ed ical fields includ ing den tistry, h ighlighting stem cell therapy, tissue engineering and endogenous regenerati em edicine as hot top ics thatw arrant further in- estigation. H ow e er, a number of biological, techn ical and clin ical hurdles must be o ercome before these b iological therapies can en- ter the clin ic.
