Based on the models, by using of Matlab/Simulink tools to simulate the whole system, this paper reveals VSWT’s influence to the power system. The results show VSWT has good running characteristics. The speed of VSWT is adjusted smoothly . The VSWT can also maintain the voltage and act on the fault restore of the power system to a certain extent.
