Abstract After ult imate heat treatme t at differe t temperatures, the tribological properties of the carbo carbo
composites are studiedThe results show that w ith the i crease of the heat treatme t temperature, t he pyrolytic car

de se film o the frictio surface is formed which leads to frictio coefficie t a d wear loss decrease; the heat tra s
fer coefficie t i either parallel or perpe dicular direct io s of the fiber is i creased, w hich makes more stable mome t
a d smaller ratio of mome t! s peak to valley The results also show that the heat treatme t temperature of 1800
is too low to make a y i flue ce o the carbo carbo composites because the w ear loss is mai ly due to oxidatio of
composites
