ABSTRACT The low grade natural frequencies of a mode oscillation system of the continuous casting
with sheet springs have been measured by using a Bodes method. Based on the measured results, the
dynamic characteristics of this system are analyzed by means of a commercial finite element software M ARC.
An effective method for improving the dynamic characteristics of this system is found from the analyzed
results T he results of the calculation provide a theoretical foundation for designing the mode oscillation.
