Methods T he prenatal sonographic characteristics of fetal bowel obstruction w ere analyzed retrospectively, and w ere com pared to pathological findings after birth. Results Eight fet uses w ith bow el obstructive diseases were detected during 19th ) 35th week of gestat ion. Four fetuses w ere detected of multiple dilated fluied filled bow el loops ( 21 1) 31 2 cm) with increas ing peristalsis: Three fetuses w ere diagnosed as jejunal obstruction w ith surgery after birt h. One fetus was lost at follow up. Tw o fetuses w ere detected of dilat ed fluid filled bow el loops without increased peristalsis and were diagnosed as ileal at resia with both ultras
