In allusion to the possibility of applying DG in rural power network, the planning of future new rural power network connected with DG in future is researched. A programming model with two objectives, i.e., minimizing investment cost for rural power network and minimizing line loss of the network, is built. In its constraints the influence of connecting DG on power flow in distribution network is considered. The application of the proposed planning model is simulated by IEEE 14-bus system, and the results show that the power supply capability of rural power network to which DG is connected is enhanced while the line
