An ecological optimal aquaculture mode w as establis ed w ic included four aquaculture areas wit different functions to culture praw n, fis , s ellfis and macroalgae respectively, one water treatment area and one emer- gent of-f taking area. Bio-manipulation of w ater quality can be ac ieved by stocking complementary organisms in different ponds w it in t e closed circulat ion system.T e results indicated t at COD, t e contents of suspen- sion, ammoniated nitrogen and nitrated nitrogen were muc lower t an t ose of monoculture ponds ( P 0101) .
