From the aspects of climate , hydrology ,topo graphy and geography ,soil ,vegetation ,the citys recon struction and plan ,the public environment of the city ,the thesis probes into the ecological environment of Kaifeng in Tang and Song dynasties ,draws a conclution that the general ecological environment was basically in a favorable spiral state in Tang and Song dynasties which was beneficial to the development of Kaifeng during Tang and Song dynasty. The thesis is new and original which deepen the study on the rise and decline of Kaifeng and a good work for ancient city and the ecological environment. 　　开封作为与西安、洛阳、南京、北京、杭州
