Research and Application of Squeeze Cast Brake Pump

Abstract: Accordin to the structure and property of the brake pump used on automobile, two squeeze
castin technolo ies are studied by usin one set of squeezin mold inthis paper. The best mold structure
and technolo ical parameters are determined and simplified, and the hydraulic system for the side oil
cylinder is desi ned based on the study result. It is shown by investi atin the microstructure of the
squeeze cast Alalloy brake pumpthat the squeezin castin canobviously refine the eutectic structure and
the primary phases (primary Al or Si phase) of Alalloy, and improvethe morpholo y and distributionof
the precipitated intermetal compound phases.
