Bob and Rob talk about freaky accidents in this hodgepodge edition  PHRASAL VERBS IDIOMS to eye somebody up (British English) 1) To look at someone that shows youre interested in them, usually in a sexual way e.g.: all the girls eye up Bob when he goes out on the town. to eye something up (British and American English) 2) To look closely at something and to check it out because youre interested in it or because you want it e.g.: Ive been eyeing up that suit all morning ever since we arrived at the mall. A similar idiomatic phrase is to have your eye on something e.g.: Youve had your eye on that chocolate sundae for a while, havent you? IDIOM: to be second nature to somebody Something that you do automatically without even thinking about it, usually because youve done it for a long time or very often e.g.: I used the recipe book for the first few times, but after that, making my special carbonara tagliatele pasta became second nature to me. BONUS IDIOM: to get your second wind After a period of tiredness and drowsiness, your second wind is when you find extra strength and energy for an activity e.g.: I was pretty tired after shopping all morning, but after lunch I found my second wind and actually started to enjoy looking for furniture. Note: the original meaning comes from running i.e., feeling out of breath at the beginning of a race, but later finding it easier to breathe e.g.: the first 20 kilometers of the marathon were a killer, but after that I seemed to get my second wind and finished the race in a good time.
