As it with a high frequency of use, there are so many kinds of problems, especially safety problems, such as vehicle speeding or losing control etc.. To prevent these dangerous situation, to design an effective and reliable vehicle arresting system is necessary. In the article, the appearance, classification, development and application of the vehicle arresting system are researched firstly. According to the requirements and characteristics of the vehicle arresting system, the key points and difficult points of vehicle arresting system are analyzed and flexible vehicle arresting system are deigned base on some relative materials. The main contents of this paper are: (1) Analyzed the performance and function requirement of arresting system, then based on this designed a general scheme of hydraulic flexing vehicle arresting system. Separated the scheme into seven function system, and designed structure of arresting net sub-system.
