Abstrac:tSummaryfordevelopmentofvisualnavigationmethodswouldbenefitthefurtherexplorationinthis
field.Theclassificationsofvisualnavigationmethodswerediscussed.Andtherepresentativearticleswereintro-
ducedundertheclassificationofmap-basedvisualnavigationsmap-buildingnavigationsandmaplessnaviga-
tion.sThenareviewofintegratednavigationswithvisionwaspresented.Analysisofrecentworksonthevisual
navigationshowedthatthehotspotofvisualnavigationhadextendedtointelligenceandmulti-sensorfusion.
