Abstract Abstract Abstract AAbbssttrraacctt With multinational corporations playing an increasingly important role in economic development, foreign direct investments impact to host countrys economy becomesafocusofdiscussionoftheeconomicsprofession. Based on a review of previous studies, this paper conducts an empirical analysis of the impact ofYunnan Province on economic growth and employment. Specifically, it discussed the effection ofYunnan FDI on economic growth, total employment, and employment in various industries. Through these analyzes we found that FDI plays s role in promoting economic growth and ,employment, while showing a causal relationshipatdifferenttimes. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part describes the research background, significance, and proposed research methods after reviews previous studies; The second part reviews the theories of FDI, economic growth and employment; The third part analyzes the actual use of FDI in Yunnan Province in recent years, by studies the stages of FDI development, FDI structure and several cities’ FDI performance and potential; The fourth part studies economic growth, total employment,employment invarious industriestodescribe the impact ofFDI on them, it concretely uses ‘Unit root tests - Cointegration test - Error correction - Granger causality test’ steps. The fifth part put forward the recommendations after it summarizedtheconclusionsofabove-mentionedprocedures.
