Abstract :T he py roly sis characteristic study of dibuty l phthalate ( DBP) at different tempera
tures w as performed under anaerobic conditions. T he quantitative analysis of the py roly sis
pro ducts w as researched by GC/ M S. T he relatio nships of some products and py roly sis tem
peratures w ere discussed. T he main pyr olysis products of DBP are 2butene, 1butanol, and
the component is complex w ith the increase of temper ature, w hen the tem perature is below
650 . Phthalic anhy dride and buty l ben o ate are pyr olysised into sm aller mass radicals,
and polycyclic aro matic hydrocar bo ns such as phenanthrene, anthracene are found at 700
. T hese char acteristics are helpful for the env ir onm ental protection in study of r ecovery
and reuse of plastic by pyrolysis.
