Across the world, companies and countries are conducting various researches and developing technologies for energy saving due to the environmental issue of the Earth. Under the circumstances, this research aimed to establish the basic database to find the suitable location of the sensor and verify its performance after comparing and analyzing the measured values depending on the location of the sensor, based on the research on lighting control using the sensor to save electronic energy of buildings. In this regard, this research established the actual-scale test-bed and conducted the test to come up with the illuminance sensor for lighting control by establishing the artificial outdoor and light environment. The location of the illuminance sensor for lighting control was identified as the point that represented the average illuminance depending on the season. The conclusions are as follows
