Parent involvement and communication is another key element of NCLB. With NCLB, the report card will offer more information than ever before on the status of our public schools at every level. A special Web site, , will offer access to school, district and state report cards. Title I school parents have extensive rights to notification, information and involvement opportunities. The individual school report cards include contact information; school and class/course sizes; ABCs designation; student promotions in gateway grades; statistics on numbers of books and computers, and school safety figures. Local, district, and state report cards will have aggregated achievement information on state assessments in math and reading and information on state indicators used to determine Adequate Yearly Progress. NCLB reporting at all levels will include: Disaggregated student achievement by subgroups Percentage of students not tested, disaggregated by subgroups Information that can be used to compare actual achievement levels with state objectives for each group Most recent two-year trend data in achievement by subject area and grade level in areas where assessments are required Graduation rates at the high school level and attendance information for K-8 Information about performance of districts making AYP, as well as schools identified for school improvement Teacher qualifications/credentials, including percentage of teachers with emergency credentials and percentage of classes not taught by highly qualified teachers, both in the aggregate and disaggregated by high-poverty compared to low-poverty schools NC Report Cards for Schools and LEA’s School basics Aggregated scores and AYP information Disaggregated scores by subgroups Percentage of students not tested Score comparisons to state objectives Two-year trend data Graduation/attendance rates Status of all districts including those identified for school improvement Teacher qualifications/credentials Sample Report Ca
