W ith the decrease of flue gas temperatures the shift from H g to HgCl takes place and a portion of HgCl is adsorbed by ash residue 2 2 that is then collected by dedust equ ipment to decrease themercury em ission into air. In terms ofmercury conversion in coal combustion, the mechan ism is described via combining the thermo-dynam ics modelw ith adsorption mode.l The factors such as Cl concentration in coal and the decrease rate of flue gas temperatures and the residence tmi e of flue gasw ere researched w ith num erical smi u lation in th is paper.
