One is the conventional harmonic detecting method; the other is the detecting approach of customer generated harmonic and reactive power. The conventional harmonic detecting methods measure all harmonic of load current, the compensated source current is sinusoidal waveform including only fundamental component. Three conventional harmonic detecting methods are simulated and compared. The three methods are based on the theory of three-phase instantaneous reactive power.
