Health Economics Analysis between the two Therapeutic Schemes for Childrens Virus Pneumonia Speciality: Chinese Academy of Pediatrics Author:Liu Haiqing Tutor:Xing Xianghui Abstract Objective: To compare the clinical curative effect between the two therapeutic schemes, traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for Childrens Virus Pneumonia. The curative effects were analyzed by cost-effectiveness method from the aspect of health economics to provide an objective basis and scientific research foundation for optimizing and popularizing the more cost-effective Therapeutic Schemes of child virus Pneumonia. Methods: The 120 cases of virus Pneumonia children who meet the standards were randomly divided into two groups A and B, 60 cases in each group, respectively treated with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. The improving and disappearing time of fever ，cough，expectoration，asthma，lung rales and other symptoms and signs were compared for both groups after treatment. The health economics indexes were analyzed by cost-effectiveness method. Results: In aspect of efficacy, both this two schemes could obviously improve the clinical symptoms, The effective rate was 96.7% in group A, 85.0% in group B, the recovery rate was 86.7% in group A, 71.7% in group B. There were significant differences in the total curative effect of this two therapeutic schemes （P 0.05 ）, group A was better than group B. Comparison of single symptoms after treatment ，there were statistically significant differences in aspect of cough and expectoration between the two groups （P 0.05 ）, group A was better than group B.
